Crack Password Microsoft Word 2010
Open OEP! Works fine. The password this time was lifted from a DC, not sure how it got on the drive… I was able to figure out the username and password and add them to OEP for a quick OEP Win 10, SP3 fix.
Hello I am trying to locate a PDF with a tampered password, i have tried this method and it kept saying password incorrect, i was able to decrypt the file and decrypt the code and everything worked fine, so I know the code was not tampered with.
Did you try any of the alternate methods that are floating around? You might try one of those to see if it is a software bug or not. If not, then you might need to contact the user who created the file and ask him or her to send a new one. Windows 10 is a bit odd when it comes to encryption. Often when software does an encryption, it will generate an initial key with a limited number of bits and does it once. This is to make it harder for someone who wants to brute force a password to get the key and encrypt data. Windows 10 adds a layer of encryption that in some cases makes it impossible to brute force it even with this key. How often does this happen in the real world, I have no idea.
Yes, OEP is required to decrypt encrypted files, but OEP itself can be encrypted. You can enter your password and the program will open and decrypt the file, saving all the needed data into variables for you. If you are working on that file, you must make sure you are working on an unlocked file though. You can add the memory addresses of all the variables to a new file using OEP, then delete the variables, then encrypted it again with a different password and so on. It can be done, but why would you when you can open the file and unlock it yourself? Using OEP on a large file will take a long time. I would suggest not using it on a massive encrypted file unless you have the time to sit down and do it. It’s also recommended that you limit the amount of memory addresses you use to about 100 if you want the speed it can handle it.
